Software Quality Assurance: Process Improvement
This is an internal review of the software quality process that I conducted for the CSP business unit. Through interviews with team managers, research and a review of past experiences, I evaluated the processes we implemented for Software Quality Assurance (SQA). Specifically, I focused on processes related to documentation, training, interface design, usability, testing, production and other aspects supporting the overall
SQA process.

The document summarizes my findings and proposes a broad plan for process improvement of the SQA aspects relating to documentation, training, user interface design, usability, testing and production processes of our overall software development process. I took this document further by turning it into an official business case for creating a technical communications self-directed work team (SDWT) that I presented to upper management in my organization.

Design for Innovation and Existing Product Support in CSP
I provided guidance to executive management on organizational structure and design for rapid application development and innovation by analyzing the CSP business unit's structure, policy deployment goals and strategy. I determined that a mostly organic organization design that is moderately formalized, moderately centralized and contains a balance of horizontal, verbal and written communication and collaboration would be the best fit for the CSP business unit.

QV&F W/EPSS Flow Chart
I created this flow chart to assist in the creation of a Web/Electronic Performance Support System (W/EPSS) for the Query, Verify & Fix (QV&F) product. The chart maps how this online help system is organized and was based upon user feedback and a storyboard (the user analysis and storyboard contain confidential information and cannot be posted here).

Corporate Size and Knowledge Management
This is an article I wrote for the NJIT chapter of the Society for Technical Communication. I wrote it in response to reading Davenport and Prusak's book called Working Knowledge: How Organizations Manage What They Know. I related what I had learned from their book back to my work experiences at the time. This book was the spark that lit my fire for knowledge management.

Online Romantic Relationships Meet the Real World: How Email Exchanges Enhance Intimacy and Strengthen Face-to-Face Relationships
I enrolled in a graduate seminar on cultural and technological change. It was one of the most thought-provoking classes I have ever taken. My research paper argues how romantic epistolary relationships conducted via email exchange result in a cycle of continuously growing intimacy and ultimately a stronger face-to-face relationship. I first researched the nature of romantic relationships and intimacy and gathered background information about the evolution of epistolary relationships from handwritten letters to email exchanges. I also researched opposing theoretical claims that exist regarding the impact computer-mediated communication (CMC) has on human relationships.
