About Me
I work for Fluke Networks (FNET) in Bridgewater, NJ. As technical communicator/process engineer, my responsibilities include writing content for internal as well as external distribution, web interface design, information/content management & design, and process improvement. I write a monthly internal communications newsletter to all employees in our business unit and create end-user documentation in various mediums such as manuals and online context sensitive help. I design interfaces for web applications, perform usability reviews, as well as create, map and manage information/content for new product development projects. In the process engineering part of my position, I review our current processes, recommend areas for improvement and research/lead process improvement projects. I document procedures/work instructions for new processes and perform internal audits for ISO 9001:2000 and TL 9000. I also train employees on the processes I help create. My position requires me to act as a communication liaison between Engineering, Marketing, and upper management. I sit on project review meetings, helping to ensure that the voice of the customer (VOC) is met. My latest work projects include developing a knowledge model and information/content architecture for a project that is information/knowledge intensive, researching social media solutions for new product development, and redesigning our process website for ease of use.
